Configuring Windows server 2008 active directory vs R2 edition

ok please excuse my dumb question, but I'm working on the Server 2008 70-640 active directory exam and I purchased the 1st edition in error. Should I purchase the R2 edition and if so, why? What is the difference?

Yes, you should buy the R2 edition as the exams test you on R2 extensively. The other alternative means reading the R2 differences on TechNet which is doable but I think it would be better to just use the R2 book.

I would read up on ADFS 2.0 as well
the MCTS self paced didn't really go through it well enough
