CEH v7 Book Question

My question is basically regarding CEH version 7. I have the book by Matt Walker however; I brought the book for April 9, 2013. Does it matter whether or not the year on the book? Hopefully this makes sense.

This is the one I used.

Good book, just look out for the typos. You will find them throughout the book. Also, watch out for some of the practice questions: some of the answers are wrong.
