MCITP: Enterprise Admin finally complete!

Passed the 70-647 this morning with a score of 840! icon_cheers.gificon_cheers.gificon_cheers.gifNow, finally a cert I'll want to print out. How much is a color laser print at kinkos or staples?

For me, on to Russinovich land next, then maybe VMware since I deal with it so much. Good luck to everyone who is still on this journey.
My rating of exams by difficulty:

70-640: 7
70-642: 4
70-643: 10
70-680: 5
70-647: 8

70-647 wasn't that difficult for me, but I had to spend double the amount of time studying. MS is obsessed with RODCs for some reason, too. What is up with that?

Congrats! I'm sure it feels good to get it over with!

As for RODCs they are more secure for branch offices, and MS loves to push a point when they get it right. I remember the Vista exam had loads of UAC questions - it's like alright alright we get it, it's a new feature.

Hey asif, you think there is any value in getting enterprise desktop admin cert? 70-686? I took the 70-680 as part of my EA so it would just be one exam.

Hey MeatCatalogue, I don't think there is any real value in MCITP:EDA unless you do deployments. Even then 70-686 uses the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2008 and MDT2012 is out now, likewise it touches on SCCM 2007 and SCCM 2012 is out now.

CBT Nuggets have updated training for SCCM 2012, which you could go for MCSE Private Cloud now that you have your MCITP:EA. But it's up to you really what technology you want to specialise in now SCCM2012, Hyper-V, VMware VCP or more Cisco. HTH

Congrats!! That's a great score on a tough exam! I found the 647 much harder than all the others, in fact the 643 wasnt difficult. I guess it comes down to real experience and the exam set you get presented on the day.

To some extent it isn't up to me, it is up to work. Most of my work involves sys internals. Second to that probably vmware issues, third sharepoint and SCCM/SCOM. Wonder if since all these topics are fresh in my mind, I should just get 70-686 done.

    Thanks for the tips!

Essendon: I found 70-643 very difficult because of the changes from 2008 to 2008 R2 regarding Terminal services & RDS, plus sharepoint is just no fun for me.

BTW, MS has added the 70-647 to my transcript but no titles yet. Anyone know how long it typically takes for the MCSA: SA title to show up?

I have noticed that the exam pass shows up and then the next day the new title appears.

Precisely what happened. MCSA title appeared the next day, and I guess the MCITP: EA title is just the certification for the exam, I don't see a printable cert for it...
