Windows 7 on the current 701/702? Its not in my Exam Cram.
phdillard
Hello. I'm just wondering how much Windows 7 stuff is on the current exam as it is not discussed in the edition of Exam Cram that I have, only Vista, XP, and a bit about 2000. I know that Vista and 7 are fairly similar, but are there any major differences I should be aware of before taking the tests?

Windows 7 might be on both with more emphasis on the newer exams, however exam specifics violated the NDA.
You may download the latest copies of the objectives for both exams to compare for yourself
CompTIA A+ Certification
If it appears on the objectives it may be on your exam.

CompTia exams are typically vendor neutral, also the A+ is generally focused on hardware not OS's.

You may wish to review the objectives, OS topics are covered.

I think there was a revision in '11 that put Win 7 on the exam.
At the same time, you shouldn't spend too much time on Win 7 specifically. If you understand the basic Vista elements covered in the Exam Cram you'll pass just fine. I used only the Exam Cram when I took my A+.

So, is the only main difference in Vista and 7 the addition of libraries?
