Why can't my win8 vm connect to my domain?
I have another server (not domain controller that can connect)
Here is my layout
192.168.1.205 Server2008r22 exchange
192.168.1.206 Server2008r21 DC/DNS
192.168.1.200 Win 8 (trying to join to domain)
not in AD
192.168.1.210 Server2008r2-3 Exchange/Edge
I can ping from win8 to 192.168.1.206 but cannot ping my dns name, davebeiler.com not able to join it
192.168.1.200-192.168.1.254 valid ip address - all assigned via customer NAT w/ dchp turned on
I also cannot get online with my windows 8, but I can access the internet fine on my .205, .206 and .210 hosts
I also cannot connect when i turn on automatic DCHP and DNS on my windows 8

megatran808 Member Posts: 53 ■■■□□□□□□□Is your Win8 VM network settings set to bridge or NAT? Usually it defaults to NAT when creating a new VM. Set it to Bridge and you should be good to go."Love your Job, but never fall in love with your company....because you never know when your company stops loving you!"
