I'm still dreaming, hoping, and praying for a FF7 remake. I could handle a FF6 remake too. I haven't bought a FF game since 12 with the exception of FF Dimensions for iPhone which exceed my expectations and turned out to be an amazing game.

I miss the old school RPGs with world maps and side quests and ATB.

FF VII is on Steam. You're welcome.

I heard some lame excuse from Square the "remaking" FF7 would require starting over and doing all sorts of stuff. For many FF7 is "special" was because it might have been their first FF also it was the jump to the Playstation from Nintendo, FF10 is popular with me again because it was a generation console jump to the PS2.

I figure with three "Final" Fantasy 13s.....to say it would be hard to remake FF7 seems ridiculous. The original creators don't seem to interested in a remake though FF10 and 10-2 is remastered and coming out soon.

FF7 HD remake or GTFO! The FF7 re-release on the PC is a slightly updated version of the old PC edition which isn't intended to be played on 16:9 displays. An FF7 re-make for the PS4 could happen and that could be ported to PC easily since they are both x86.

Not until I've read a ton of reviews. The days of buying them instinctively are long gone. XII and XIII were terrible and bad, respectively, and while I didn't play it, what happened with XIV was pretty bad.

I actually really enjoyed FFX for PS2 however FFX-2 was meh. Obviously FF7 was also a favorite of mine.

The opening for X-2 was pretty sweet.

Come to think about it - I really enjoyed X as well.

I enjoyed the story of 10 and 13. I haven't played 13-2, and probably not 13-3 either though.

Is this going to be an MMORPG or RPG?

FF hasn't been a first-day buy for me since FFXII. The way Square-Enix squandered the franchise truely is baffling. In fact, I think S-E failed at the entire current console generation (PS3, X360, Wii). Let's hope for some kind of revival in the next one.

I won't be getting FFXIII-3, but might check out FFXV.

I'd also like to see an HD remake of FF IX. I loved the setting and character design. The story wasn't half bad either, but it really was the world that held it all together for me.

In the meantime, I guess I'll continue to replay it and Chrono Cross on my PSP.

I miss when movies had a good storyline.

As for FF, first for me was FFVII. Enjoyed that one. Last one was FFX. Didn't get very far. I think I skipped FFIX.

I got stuck in FFX, all I remember was a fight that I needed a Phoenix ability to come back to life during a boss fight which I didn't have because I was just jamming stuff in slots when leveling and not paying attention closely. I will give it a shot again when it comes out remastered.

It depends on reviews, some I do some I dont. I really like the older FF games more than the newer ones.

All I know is "ShadowRun Returns" came out today :D

We wanna talk about a game. I am estatic about GTA V. It should tie me over long enough to determine if the next gen is worth buying.. maybe even into the second release of these newer consoles. Got burned on early adoption before (see PS3 luls price and Xbox 360 RRoD) so I don't plan on buying either at launch.

Narwhal - I did the same thing. Bought the PS3 and 360 at launch and spent $600 on a console and got RRoD respectively (that was before they fixed the issue for free). I have kids now so I'll likely be getting the PS4 once the PS5 is announced. :)
