Help!!! In the midst of a career change..

Hello everyone,
So here’s my dilemma. I’m in the midst of a career change and want to embark into the IT industry. I have no experience in the IT field but I recently got my CCNA certification. I’ve been applying to many types of IT jobs (NOC, Network Admin, Helpdesk/Service Desk), so I can just gain some experience but haven’t heard back from any future employers. I’m starting to feel very discouraged and need some advice. Should I go and get another certification? If so, which one?

If you are applying for help desk jobs and the like, I would suggest starting with CompTIA A+ and an OS certification, like Windows 8. If you are in an area with federal government presence, they also really like Security+ these days. It's easy to get discouraged, but I can tell you I was in the same boat as you about 12 years ago. Keep at it and you'll get there.
