in CCNA & CCENT
This is my first post but I've been lurking around. I just got my A+, so now I'm working towards CCENT/CCNA.
I just started watching the CBT Nugget videos and this question came up.
172.16.0.0 - network
255.255.0.0
172.16.255.255 would be the broadcast?
This would allow 172.16.254.255 and 172.16.255.254 to be assigned to devices?

Yes. That's one of the ways they tried to trip us up on subnetting questions in school. Alot of people would see .0 or .255 and simply assume the address was not a valid host. But, in reality it could very well be depending on the subnet mask.R&S: CCENT → CCNA → CCNP → CCIE [ ]

I almost felt it was a dumb question, glad I asked it.
