studying for icnd1 v1.1 , but having second thoughts now !

Hey everyone,
This is my first thread, and I noticed that your replies to the threads over here are quite helpful.
I've been studying for ICND1 v1.1 for the past 3 weeks : finished CBT nuggets videos, practiced well on packet tracer, and finished 3 chapters out of the book ODOM official certification guide.
However, I really think I'm out of time here to meet up the deadline on Sep 30, since I was planning on passing the ICND2 before that deadline. Now that I heard, new ICND2 is way different than the old version, and missing chapters are expected to be learned from the ICND1 v2.0, which I might not go through if I did the ICND1 v1.1 now.
So, I'm thinking about studying for the ICND1 v2.0 from now on, and try to pass it after Sep 30 (since the exam centers in my country did not make it as an option yet to take the new exams).
Any advise would be very helpful !
