Network Inventory Management

What tools are you guys using for asset management?

We're using Cisco Prime for a lot of our management, and the inventory reports it spits out are great. The problem is that it doesn't maintain any historical data, which is really what we need. According to our Cisco rep, the chances of having it added as a feature are slim to none.

So the question remains, outside of spreadsheets, what are you guys all using for inventory management?

Currently using Lansweeper for both hardware and software. It allows us to enter a lot of manual information which is how we keep track of grant funded machines and historical data. I think Spiceworks also does what you're looking for. Both are free.
