Stanly CC Fall 2013 VCP 5 Class

I didnt see a thread for the Fall 2013 CE class for VCP 5 at Stanly CC. I was on the waiting list for a few months and was able to finally get into this course for the Fall.

I figured starting up a thread for the course, specifically for the Fall session, would be a good idea to share ideas, discuss theory/concepts, and post study questions/help. Anyone else taking this class this fall semester?

In this class. Looking forward to seeing how this works out. I've been going through Mastering vSphere 5 in my spare time.

Hey guys. I am in this class too. They don't seem to be very forthcoming with much information. I can see that the class starts on the 19th August, so I guess if we haven't heard anything by then, make sure we make contact with them! Looking forward to this though :D

So just to clarify, these login instructions won't be usable until the 19th, correct? I just tried to log in to "moodle" but it wouldn't accept my username and password combination. The email mentions that the class won't start until the 19th, but it's not very clear on whether these logins should work TODAY or not.

    Hello,

I am in the class too and looking forward to it. I will be mostly working on it on the weekends probably, but we shall see how it goes.

Access to the class begins the 19th in the email and the website upon logging in confirms that as well, "Please note: You will not be able to log in until the first day of your class(es)."

Cheers and looking forward to the class.

Thanks to the forums for informing me about this class.

I am registered. I know absolutely nothing about VMWare. Was this the appropriate class to take?

    First day everybody!

I am not able to log in just yet - I have sent an email about it, but it might just be that I am 5 or 6 hours ahead of everbody else! I'll try again later.

    :)

I had the same issue, I got on to live chat and Terry was able to help me out in no time. I've logged in now.

    Got in this morning.

If you changed your webadvisor password earlier to pay for the course it's also your password for moodle.

I'm unable to login to my Netlab. I'm in Honeycutt's class. My coworker in another class is able to.

Most of these CC courses are just fine for folks starting out on VMWare, but. . . be ready to move quickly. They'll probably assume some knowledge of networking and system administration.
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

So I logged in today. I see I am in Mr. Honeycutt's class. I noticed the warning to login in and complete the first activity so you won't be dropped. Is there anything else to do on day one?

I recall reading somewhere that all you have to do is log in at least once a week and as long as all everything is completed by the end of the course...

With that said, I've done a couple of labs and there's no indication on the main page on what's been viewed/completed...so yeah I'm not too sure...

I dont see that any where in the Introductions forum. I found this in the Class Questions link:

    Q. What are the due dates of assignments.
    A. The end of class. This is a continuing education class, so there is only a pass/fail grading scale, and it is based mainly on participation.
