Good afternoon/morning everyone. I received an email from a recruiter for a company last week for an open Help Desk position they wanted to speak with me about. I called the recruiter back spoke to him for a minute and then he passed my information along to the hiring manager for him to decide if he would like an interview with me. I had the phone interview with the hiring manager a couple of days later and wasn't too sure on how it went. Later on in the afternoon the recruiter called me back to say that they wanted me to come in for a face to face interview. I went last Tuesday to the interview and I have to say that it was one of the best interviews I've experienced in my life. The guy that interviewed me was promoted to Lead so I was filling the vacancy that he left. Real good guy that asked me some technical questions as well some other "odd ball" questions as he called them. That interview lasted about an hour as I met with him as well as the hiring manager. They told me they had some other candidates to interview and I would hear back either way. I got the call Friday offering me the position in which I gladly accepted. I'll be making 20% more than what I make now and the room for growth is very nice. My start date is scheduled for 8/26, just waiting on my official offer letter so I can submit my 2 week notice to my current job. This board kept me motivated as they were times where I simply wanted to give up. The guy that interviewed me even sent me a message and invite to connect on Linkedin Friday afternoon congratulating and welcoming me to the team. Thanks for listening to me babble
