I'm only on chapter ³ but what's becoming evident is I'm not really absorbing the information despite readig chapter 3 on WANS 3 times I still only got 5 out of 8 on the do you already know this quiz when I was hoping for a 7 or an 8.

I know there's no magic pill I can take but does anyonne have anny tips to help?

Thanx so do you review your notes and if so how often? Or is it the act of writing it down. Using this method I was thinking of writing a blog.

    7 Layer OSI Model

    All
    People
    Seem
    To
    Need
    Data
    Processing

This is a good way to remember things.

What does a L3 switch do? Route, wow so L3 is "Network" layer in the OSI model, etc

Think of the 2:00 a.m. test—if you were awakened in the
middle of the night because of a network problem and had to figure out the
traffic flows in your network while you were half asleep, could you do it?

Don't forget to practice what you're learning.
Lab it as much as possible; it'll greatly help you remember the commands but will also help you get an idea of what's going on.

If, like me, you can't remember the common OSI layer mnemonics you can try my one:
    Please
    Do
    Not
    Try
    Smelling
    Pirates'
    Armpits

Unusual but it works for me.

Every time I studied, I would review my notes instead of reading through the book again. If I missed something on the review question, I would add that material to my notes.
