How do you manage services at your company?

1.What monitoring software do you use to monitor your network?
2.What software do you use to manage service desk ticketing system?

I just want to know which monitoring software are most popular and which service desk application are most popular or the best software.

At my company we use PRTG monitoring system and we use Kaseya to manage our service desk

BMC Remedy for tickets and change management. Currently running HP Operations Manager and Network Node Manager. I just started working on a new project this week to replace Network Node Manager with CA Tools Performance Suite.

Nagios for monitoring everything in our datacenters. We have two different ticketing systems that I believe is a proprietary software made by our developers.

1. Generally speaking, I've found Spiceworks to be a great piece of software for monitoring anything from servers, printers to end-user computers.
2. We don't have a ticketing system as of yet, but I have tried out (limited usage so far) OTRS and OSTicket and they both seem to be good options. Assuming that you are in AD environment, I would be looking towards something that can be integrated with AD so users don't have to remember another username/password combination.

We use PRTG for network monitoring and Kace for service desk stuff. Seems to work fairly well but not as good as Solar winds but we don't have the money for that

It seems as if Nagios for service management is one of the popular software and almost everyone use Solarwinds network management and monitoring.

We are stuck with HEAT too, and it is a pile of dog snot. Since a different group is in charge of the help desk and the ticketing system, we won't change until a few people retire or die.

Has anyone used BMC Remedy & Track-It! ? I'm trying to gauge if one is better than the other. The reason is the company that I'm starting at next week doesn't have any help desk software. I've used Track-IT in the past and liked it, but others didn't. I've also used FootPrints (which I wasn't too fond of), and then ConnectWise.
