I am confused an ex colleague is trying to tell me that 70-640,70-642 and 70-680 will get you certified in an MCITP. Is this true? Could someone clear it up?
I know them three exams plus another 2 will get you an MCITP. But not sure about them ones in particular?
Clear up please, would be cool if they do as I am studying for the 640 and would only need the 642

Or if you get 680 + 685 then that will give you MCITP:EDST & MCSA:Windows 7.

Check under Windows Server [Link].Microsoft wrote:The MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuration; MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuration; and MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure, Configuration certifications will be retired on January 31, 2014.

That is kind of confusing because in the description it says the exams will be retired but under the description there is no asterisk next to the 640 or 642 which denotes the January expiration. And neither of those exams are on the exams expiring in 12 months list either.

Asif Dasl Member Posts: 2,116 ■■■■■■■■□□Yeah I probably should have put it better - The MCTS is going away but 640 + 642 will stay around (as well as 646 for MCSA:2008 ).
While 643 is being retired with 647 (Jan 31st 2014) which is why it has the asterisk beside it on the Retired Exams link.
