Should I go for a master's in IS w/ a background in humanities?

People of Techexams, I'm in a dilemma. I don't know what to do.

I have been accepted into a master's in IS at KSU (2nd tier university in GA). I've even registered for the Fall semester courses. I haven't made any payments yet, though.

My background bares no connection with IT. I majored in music (lol), then completed a master's in Education (in bulls*hit I should say). All of this was in my native country, Spain. I've got 3 years of work experience in the teaching field, 2 of them teaching Spanish here in the US.

I've been reading opinions about IS, concerning the fact that a master's in IS will not really teach you much about "computers", and that most IS graduates end up doing tech support jobs. The subjects I'll be taking are:

-Informatics
-Adv. IS Project Management
-Legal & Ethical Issues in IS
-BCP/DR
-Enterprise Process Models
-Emerging technologies
-Global IS management
-IS Policy & Strategy
-IT leadership
+ 3 electives:
-Information Security Administration (is one of the suggested)

Most of it sounds like hogwash. How much of it actually has to do with computers? Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't wanna waste my time and money on useless, redundant knowledge with no application in the real world. Should I go ahead and do this? Is this going to be a murky investment with a scarce payoff? OR: would this be a good way to change careers and do something different??? 'Cause one thing I know for sure, and that is that I don't want to teach if I can avoid it.

Surprisingly one of the best tech guys I know has a background in humanities, he got his bachelors in philosophy. He has fantastic people skills, is very creative, and has a knack for convincing people that he knows what he is talking about. He was in the tech industry for 30+ years working in tech sales and consulting.

A lot of it really depends on how good the tech program is at the school, I don't know much about KSU's tech reputation. Find out how their tech grads are doing after they are graduating. I am almost tempted to going back myself to school and getting a masters in IT from Purdue. Employers seemed to prefer Purdue grads and the Purdue grads I knew had no problem landing tech jobs right out of college. I have been asked a couple times by employers in interviews why I chose IU over Purdue. They told me they knew Purdue offered computer degrees, but had no idea IU did also. Then they will tell me several of our IT guys graduated from Purdue's IT program. I was accepted to both schools as an undergrad, but sometimes I feel like banging my head against the wall for declining Purdue. I am debating myself weather to get higher level certs or go into more debt and get a masters in IT from Purdue.
