    BCNE and BCNP are your only options besides all of the specialization certifications.
    BCNE is equal to CCNA.

    BCNE = CCNA
    BCNP = CCNP

    They don't have an equivalent for the CCIE but they do have the BC Architect, but it requires you to study multiple different products not just R/S. Also the BNCP/BCNE test mostly on VDX hardware I don't believe ICX switches are covered at all. You can jump straight into the BNCP exam there are no prerequisites.

    This is categorically untrue. The VDX is covered almost not at all on either of those tracks. Brocade has a separate Ethernet Fabric Certification which covers the VDX. The BCNE and BCNP is based mostly on the Fastiron and Netiron products which are traditional switches and routers.

    BCNE and BCNP are much easier than their Cisco counterparts.

    I think the closet thing they have to the CCENT is the Brocade Accredited Internetworking Specialist. Its $20 and then you can go and do the BCNE. At one time if you paid for the online training they gave you a voucher for the BCNE.

    Hope this isn't too far off topic, but I just got done configuring a couple of brocade silkworm 500's and I'm interested in learning more about brocades fibre channel devices.

    Thinking of brocade web based stuff.

    What's a good jumping off point?

    Wanting to learn more of the basics as they relate specifically to brocade entry level stuff.

    @ SLINXUZER - "Storage Networks Explained" is where I would start. Brocade does have a lot of training stuff on FC since that was their main business before they bought Foundry.

    @ OP - If you are going to be using the netiron and fastiron products then the BNCE and BCNP tracks will help you greatly. The tests are not as challenging as Cisco but in my experience, you learn more useful things in those tacks than you do in CCNA/CCNP. Besides things like MCT (multi chassis trunking - which is wicked cool) Brocade covers networking at the standards level, which makes it easy to transition to other switches like HP or even Cisco (if you aren't using their suite of proprietary protocols).

    Eventually you will have to bite the Cisco bullet just for name recognition. I work almost exclusively with Brocade and HP and I am taking CCNP Switch this coming Friday.
