VCP4 from a Time/Value standpoint
redworld
My situation is that work paid for "Install, Configure, and Manage [4.1]" back in 2010 but I didn't pass the exam on my free attempt, howvere, my study habits are far better now and I'm motivated to get my VCP5. My options are to study for and pass VCP4. Pay $1695 for the "What's New? [5.1]" online course out of pocket. And then study for and pass the VCP5. That's a long road.
Do you think it's worthwhile from a time/effort/value standpoint to just bite the bullet on the ""Install, Configure, and Manage [5.1]" for $3500 and study up that way? Or is the longer and cheaper route better.
Thanks

If you are looking to get the VCP5...have you considered a remote option like online classes? Take a look at this thread:

Several TE members are taking an online class to satisfy the VMware's training requirement. I luckily found a local CC on the list of partners so I will be taking a 16 week, in-person class this fall.
Good luck on deciding your path.
