Windows or linux?

I have this idea set in my head of either doing server/database windows or trying to go red hat and get into cloud computing services. If I go windows I guess I start MTA, MCSA, MSCE, and MSCM in server. Then do the database certs after I finish the server certs. I honestly have no idea where to start to get into red hat. I'm trying to figure out my best route to take to start on these career paths. Thanks for any help.

If you go Win, skip the MTAs and start w/ MCSA.
If you go Linux, go for the Linux+ 1st. (Could start w/ the book Linux Essentials then transition into The Linux Command line b4 getting into the Linux+ texts if you have abs no Linux exp.)
