Well, what do you want to know? I usually ask things like hours, potential for advancement, any compensation areas that have not yet been covered, questions about the equipment they use, etc.

Cool thanks. I mean I want to know everything I can to get the job, but want to be sure what to ask without being annoying I guess.

I ask as much as possible. They aren't just interviewing you, you are also interviewing them. I often ask about attrition in the department/company. That will throw them off but you can get a feel if the place is a revolving door.

I tend to ask things like:

What can I expect to do on a daily basis.
What is your favorite thing about working here.

Ask any questions you want to know the answer to. Get your most important ones out of the way first in case you run out of time. The only annoying questions are insincere ones a candidate asks in an attempt to impress.

(The candidate demonstrates a lack of respect for my time by doing so.)

I agree with NetworkVeteran. The annoying questions are the canned ones. Nothing wrong with asking legitimate questions about the company and position.

I always ask if the position is open due to expansion/increased demand on the department or employee turnover. Other good questions would be "What would my typical day here be like" and "How long have the others in the whatever department been here" Questions like this tell the interviewer that you are interested in long term employment, while allowing you to get a better idea of what kind of environment you'll be getting yourself into. Low employee retention could hint at an undesirable work environment, but if people have been there 10 or more years then it's probably a good place to work, and you have experienced coworkers to rely on and help with your transition into the company.

Just a quick suggestion: Don't wait for the end to ask questions. Interviews are just as much about learning if the opportunity is what you want.

I generally ask about as many questions as they ask me and make it quite conversational. Remember: People love talking about themselves and their work.

This way at the end when I'm asked if I have any questions I can just point out they've been answering my questions the entire time and if I have any more I'll be in touch.

Ok guys just left the interview and went fairly well. It was different because i interviewed with 2 other people. After they interview they said we had a little break so we went to the waiting room. We were all expecting to go back but after 10 min she came out and said thank you we will keep in touch. We didnt get to ask any questions as to how long till they made a decision since she just came out and said thank you. Should i call and ask this or just leave it. And there were 3 interviewees and 4 interviewers.

I would leave it, unless somehow their process and/or ETA for making a decision impacts your future actions and/or decisions. E.g., you have an offer letter you need to decide upon within 3 days.

I'd thank them for the interview and otherwise keep applying.
