The title may be misleading but I am confused !
I have gotten an interview at LinkedIN for the NOC Engineer Position.
Background - I work as a Senior Operating Systems Engineer in a Bank. My responsibilities include high level design of Business Requirements in the Unix Line of Business. I get a requirement for servers , storage and network. I deal with finding out the intricacies and put them on paper ( Visio ). Understand what is required and suggest the best possible solution after consulting with the different teams involved. I used to deal with the configuration and building of these servers once upon a time but now now.
I like the position here. Its a 5 day week. Weekends off. No On Call or any pressure of any kind.
Now I have an offer from LinkedIN for a job that I started out with. They are paying what I want. I want to move to the new location too. But am I turning back the wheel ? This position involves shifts and being available on call too.
Suggestions or Advice.
