Steps for getting Avaya Certified

I have been in the IT field since about 1999. I started as a Nortel Telecom Tech doing mostly moves adds and changes thru about 2006 roughly. I have done some basic help desk and Data Center Monitoring stuff but I love telecom. Everything seems to be Cisco or Avaya these days so I am trying to find the best way to maybe get certified so that I can try to get a job doing Avaya administration. Is there any books, videos, or software I can purchase to learn on my own and then take a test or should I get Cisco certified first like maybe CCENT and then CCNA Voice or Avaya?

avaya has a free training web site, I think I may have posted the link before. Ill see if i can find it.
