Passed the A+!
I got 740/900 on the 801, and 742/900 on the 802. I thought both were pretty challenging, 802 moreso than the 801. I started studying July 28th, Ended September 2nd, then scheduled the tests the next week. I have no professional experience, just experience in working on my own stuff. Tips I can give are to give yourself enough time to review. I think scheduling my tests a week after finishing the book was a bit too fast considering there were a lot of concepts I had to go over to understand.

Capozz24 Registered Users Posts: 4 ■□□□□□□□□□I just scheduled it right after I finished the book which was a mistake because it caused me to cram like crazy before the exam. There were some concepts I didn't go over enough or didn't have time to go over. I definitely suggest giving yourself time to review after you finish the book.

Can you clarify? Know your networking how? Rote memorization of ports and token ring layouts, or actual applicable stuff? -

stayfocused Member Posts: 8 ■□□□□□□□□□Congrats. I just passed the 802 to get A+ certified as well.
I knew 801 was easier in general and would be especially so for me so here is how I studied :
Read Mike Meyers A+ book
Made some flashcards
Did Exam Cram 801 Practice tests til I was getting over 90%s.
Took and passed 801.
Watched Prof Messers 802 vids.
Read the 802 section of CompTIA A+ Complete Review Guide by Dulaney and McMillan.
Started taking practice tests, was getting just 55 to 70% initially.
Made flashcards, reviewed Dulaney's book.
Got my practice tests up over 90% consistently.
Took and passed 802.
I'll be doing a similar study plan for N+. -
