in CCNP
Hello,
I was looking at gettting my CCNP and have a few questions. Whcih exam should I take first, the 642-801 or 642-811? Also what is a good book to study for the exam? I have heard that the Cisco Press BSCI book by Claire Gogh is not so good, so i was looking for an alternate book.
Thanks

QUIX0TIC Member Posts: 277Wow... Clare Gogh not good!!! She is one of the leading people in the field. But, thats just IMHO. I would stick with the basics and go for the Cisco Press and read the Sybex first."To realize one's destiny is a person's only obligation."

JohnElway07 Member Posts: 4 ■□□□□□□□□□Thanks,
but can you recommend a Cisco Press book? I look into the Sybex books and as far as i can tell they only offer one massive book for the entire CCNP Cert.
Thanks -

I concur with that, thats the main book I am using right now. I would stick with CiscoPress books for the meat and taters, and supplement that with other publications.
No simulations, no software included with the book.Go Hawks - 7 and 2
2 games againts San Fran coming up, oh yeah baby, why even play? just put then in the win category and call it good -

So far, i like this book, not too hard to understand and contains very good explanations. Maybe someone who passed BSCI with this book could tell us more. -
