Anyone with experince with RPS?
Looking for an answer concerning fail-over. Read an FAQ and watched a vid that specifically mentions that the RPS supports seamless operation between the RPS and the switches power supply on 'S' models.
Does this imply that any model that does not say, for example, 2960S-XX-XXX will not seemlessly move back to the onboard PS?
If so, why in the world does a non-supported switch have an RPS port?
Appreciate any input.

SouthSeaPirate Member Posts: 173Bringing this one back. Im now good on the switches, however, I don't know what components I need to buy along with the 2300. I have 6 2960s that are RPS compatible and will all be together in our new server room patch panel. Im trying to wire it in a way so that if one UPS fails or RPS fails, all will still be fine. How many RPS 2300's will I need? Cables? UPS?
