servicemen relief act does not protect against employment contract early termination penalty?
no I am not talking about cellphone contract.. Some employment contract has an early termination clause with a fine for quitting the job before the contract is up, something requiring you to pay back the training if you leave earth
What is the legality of these clauses? Most employment contracts are at-will, no? Or it depends on the state's labor laws?

SCRA is intended to protect against discrimination because of the servicemembers service or intent to serve. So if an employee was terminated early because of their military affiliation, then the SCRA might provide some protections. -

What is the legality of these clauses? If your contract states that you must stay X amount of time for Y training then yes you must stay or pay whatever the contract states. This will be done by with holding your last check and it being applied towards your debt. Can they do it, most likely, I haven't heard of a state law that goes against it.
Most employment contracts are at-will, no? It depends on if you are in an at-will state and if that state is an exception state or implied contract state.
