Hello everyone. I was really looking into becoming a Network Administrator or Network Engineer. What is the best cert route to take to achieve this? I'm currently on CCNA right now.

I would say get the CCNA and start gathering experience. After a year or so start CCNP and things won't be too bad.Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity. You will be surprised how many get in without being gurus - at that level nobody expects you to be perfect and know everything. At our company they hired 2 people with certs and no experience over 2 that had experience. Probably one of the best decisions they ever made. They saw a lot of potential and hunger in them. After 6 months, it is unbelievable how much these guys grew and are still going up. It depends on you.
If he is fortunate, he may get a network admin gig from the start. Or a few months in help desk/tech support then up. Having a positive attitude is a nice thing.Yes, I am a criminal. Read a couple of the books, actually build a home lab and do many labs. Doing those things will provide you returns. Also get a job in a NOC or helpdesk if you don't have one already.2019: GPEN | GCFE | GXPN | GICSP | CySA+
