Maybe. OL is just RHEL/CentOS with the addition of their 'Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel' and Ksplice afaik

It might be cheap but I doubt its easy. If you're super familiar with CentOS I'd say go for it.

Last time I checked, LPIC-1 was a pre- requisite for their Linux cert(s).
