Access Server Feedback

Hi Folks,

I'm looking to get some opinions on access server options.

What are you using?

What's the best deal going?

I have an older 3600 series router I'm not using and thinking of using that, but it's big and an NM 16-A is going to run me $250 or so.

the Digi CM32's are going for $350 right now.

A 2511 is going to be $200-$250

So my question is what do you think is the better option?

I use a 2511 at home. I know some people on here talk about using something cheaper off of ebay. I've been happy with it. Worth the money to just get going on the labs instead of transferring your console cable all the time.

I've been reading people getting the Digi's for like $60. They aren't that low any more.

Picked up my Digi CM32 a year ago off ebay for $40.

There was one guy [out in California] selling them for about $60 a while back. Once his auctions disappeared, the only ones left were the folks charging $300+. If he could afford to sell them for that price, others can also. I, thankfully, managed to buy the last sub-$100 Digi CM32. I love it. All that said, I expect that the prices will come back down eventually.

I got a 2511 also and I recommend it.

I have a Digi CM32 and payed less than 100 for it. Works great.

I got a digiCM32 for 50 off ebay and could not be happier. Good cheap alternative to the 2511.

Edit: Hmmm that is strange, I just checked ebay and they are all very expensive
