Last December I went for job interview for Windows/Linux Desktop Support, I got told that he couldn't hire me because my networking skills were not up to scratch, but if I came back to him having shown that id improved he would give me a shot.
Well this year I completed N+/CCNA and started an MSc in Networking. The thing is, do you think he is likely to now pull me up on my basic Linux/MS server skills? I know a lot about Windows but not Server, and I can operate Linux but only to install web servers on really.
Do you think its worth studying for another 6 months and doing MCSA & Linux+ or RHCSA then go back to him or go back now?
I'm nearly 28 and feel time is being wasted at my current job. My experience is not growing now, but I dont want to risk going to this interview not impressing again, even though my networking skills are up to scratch now.
I live in an area where there are literally no IT jobs and I cant move for another 2 years which is why im kind of asking about this particular job. I am still looking for other jobs meanwhile but as he said I could come back when I'm better so I'm hoping for this one.
Any advice would be great

Really, how far will MCSA and L+/RHCSA go? (Also opinions on the latter certs L+/RHCSA first? Was thinking L+ to get basic knowledge maybe...)
