MCSA - How Many Exams - 3 or 4

Do the 3 core exams constitute your MCSA (70-210, 70-290 and 70-291) or do you have to do an elective such as 70-284 before you can call yourself an MCSA?
Thanks
Paul

Yes, you need an elective to complete the MCSA track.

you might as well get A+ as you allready have network + then that would be your elective.

Yeah, you can either go:
A+ and Network+
Client exam (70-210 or 70-270)
70-290
70-291
Or:
A+ and Server+
Client exam (70-210 or 70-270)
70-290
70-291
Or:
Client exam (70-210 or 70-270)
70-290
70-291
Microsoft Elective exam
Most people I know will use their CompTIA exams as the elective for the MCSA as they provide the foundation for the certification. Then, just add on your other 4 exams (2 core, 1 design, 1 elective) and get your MCSE.
