Cisco PIX firewalls - on any exams?
sadfjlfdo24
So looking over at CCNA Security and CCNP Security, it seems that Cisco PIX firewall is not mentioned anywhere, just the ASA. Are there any exams that cover PIXs at all?

Current Cisco certifications won't be covering PIX anymore, and Cisco doesn't sell them anymore either. All PIX products and functionality are now replaced by ASA solutions.

I see that you can run PIX 8.0.4 on PIX 515e and latest version of PIX is 8.4 for ASA's. How much the ASA CLI experience would be different?
Edit: its actually version 9+ that you can run on ASA's - but how much does CLI differ from 8.0.4 to 9+ ?

Cisco ASA Software Release 9.0 [Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software] - Cisco Systems

there is a big cli difference betweeen 8.2 and 8.3 version.
you may want to read a 642-818 ocg.
moreover an asa 5500 is end-of-sale.
so the current ocg 642-168 is a little bit outdated.
