What Should I Get Certified In

Hello,

I just officially got a job in IT as an IT Support Engineer and my job description is basically like that of someone who does Help Desk / Technical Support. Prior to this, I interned/worked for a company and did a lot of desktop deployment and ghosting.

So, my question is, what certificates should I try to get at this point to increase my knowledge in IT and move up the latter. I'm currently considering/studying for the A+ Complete certificate and have read a lot about networking certificates.

Thoughts, guys?

Well really it comes to what interests you? What are you going to enjoy doing every day for the next 'x' years? Meaning do you like the thought of networking, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
Do you like servers, desktops, exchange, windows style infrastructure?
Do you like the idea of virtualization?
Are you interested in learning security?

Once you have a better understanding of what you want to do then it is easier for people to suggest certifications but A+ is a good start.
