Volunteer Work Experience -VolunteerMatch.com

I just landed some volunteer work through VolunteerMatch.com with a local Church and will be assisting in Computer/Network Maintenance. I found this as a great opportunity to fill in the gaps of experience as I break into the world of IT while working at Geek Squad.

Nice find, thanks for sharing! For those involved with volunteering for non-profit organizations... Office 365 is now free to qualifying non-profits. Great way to get some cloud experience while helping out the cause of your choice!

Ive know a lot of people who have gotten in some volunteer work through them. You can build up a nice portfolio of volunteer work and have letters of appreciation / recommendation to boot. Good luck!

Thanks! Yesterday was my first day and it was pretty awesome. Hilariously enough, they stuck me with tickets. hahaha. Why does everyone hate help desk tickets?! But I will get a plethora of experience with active database,mapping and computer software/hardware issues. Its pretty awesome!
