Diploma is in the mail!

Well I guess I'm an official WGU graduate. BS, IT Security route.. I had an Associates from the University of Phoenix and a handful of certs before starting WGU in April 2011. My term ended September 30th, 2013, so 5 terms total....

I didn't finish the Capstone in time, ended up getting a 1 week extension. I had submitted it on 9/29, but it didn't get graded until 10/1, and it didn't pass the first time.

Luckily I knew it wasn't great the first time since I just rushed it in, so I kept working on it, and when it got rejected I was able to submit the proper one right away. It passed, extension was approved, and today I got the email my diploma is in the mail.

Thanks to everyone on this site, I would have never heard of them if it wasn't for coming here.

I figured "taking a break" is why I am 34 years old and finally a college graduate, so I decided to jump right into it. I have an appointment with an Enrollment Counselor to get right in the MSISA program, hopefully getting a 11/1/13 start. I looked at some other schools, and lots of them looked great, but WGU's price and class structure cant be beat IMHO.

I am currently on a contract that is up for renewal in November 2014, so I'm hoping with WGU's format, I can knock this out in one year. That way when the contract is up for renewal I can say I have completed both my Bachelor's and my Master's and hopefully get a solid pay bump or a permanent role

Awesome! I am doing the EXACT same thing! I got my BSIT from WGU too(December 2012), I'm 32 years old. Now I am in the MSISA program and I'm loving it! Good luck man and ping me if you need anything

I think I'm withdrawing from Iowa State's program and will go with WGU's MSISA that I've already been accepted into. I am just not liking things at ISU and I actually like the WGU MSISA a lot better.

That factored into my decision as well. As long as everything goes smooth with Finiancial Aid, I am starting November 1st
