Passed the 70-412 today and earned my MCSA.
This was one of the more challenging tests to prepare for.
-CBT Nuggets used that heavily.
-Bought the Sybex book, but it was a waste of money. Severely lacking in detail or missing objectives all together. Don't bother with it.
-Bought 60 day SelftestSoftware practice test. Very good resource. Questions are way too wordy though.
-Did all the Technet virtual labs for Server 2012.
-Deployed RMS at work, which helped
-Technet and Google to fill in the gaps
Test focused a lot on Backups, Clustering and network services (IPAM, DHCP, DNS). Not much on AD replication which surprised me. Only a couple questions.
Not sure how I will approach the 70-413/414 exams since there are no books out for them yet. (Frustrating since it has been out since August 2012). Might try to get work to spring for the MS classroom training.

Congrats on the pass. I think the books for the other courses are scheduled for January. No idea how helpful they will be as they are not available to review. I do hope they represent the R2 information as that information is due to be on the tests about the same time. We will see. -
