Yes, it makes it feasible to do long-distance interviews.

Yup, well video conference in general. I had one a couple years ago, not on Skype. I had to go to a local facility with a Cisco/Tandberg setup and the people interviewing me were ~800 miles away at their facility.

I've had one before that went well.

Just make sure you choose a professional background when you do this! Nobody wants to see your dirty laundry in the background.

Make sure your two year old doesn't run in your office yelling "daddy poo poo...." That happened when I was interviewing one of our potential techs.

I had one w/ deloitte a couple years ago, it was interesting, unfortunately i didn't get that job
