To login to a 2600 Cisco Router I am trying to use "enable" but it does not work.

Any solution?

Does your prompt look like this:

    rommon>

    ???

If so, you're in rom monitor mode, so your "enable" command will not work.

    type:

    dir flash:

This will display any files saved in flash.

If one of the files is an IOS type:

    boot flash: (name of file)

You can also try typing "i" at the rommon prompt and hit enter. This will cause your router to reload.

Your router should then boot properly with the IOS into user exec mode. If not, I would say you have a corrupt IOS or memory issues.

I have seen 2600 series routers boot into rommon mode on initial power-up at times....
