Optionskohr-ah Member Posts: 1,277Wow, that's bad news after such an opportunity. Sorry to hear and good luck on the search! Maybe your old place would take you back with that matching salary they offered?
I know i could go back to my old place but they wont bring be back as a Network Engineer but as a Cloud Engineer and I'd have to do SQL Server management, Solarwinds Server Management, and a bunch of other things that aren't related. It is not where I want to be. That is my ticket of last resort as I will do what I need to rather than be unemployed.
At least management here is understanding and said just start applying but just make sure to keep your current work up.
I will post my updated resume on dice, indeed, careerbuilder, and monster and start looking see if I can find a position hopefully here in the next month. If anyone has any advice of how or where to look... I would really appreciate it. -

Optionskohr-ah Member Posts: 1,277Well today I got a call from a recruiter who saw my resume online, he knew about our home office moving (which I never mentioned) and said that he already has a position he would like to submit me for as he knows the one I am in now isn't what they told me it would be. He wants to talk to the company's senior architect and see if they would be willing to interview me. (He didn't ask for references or anything which was a first)
Here is keeping my fingers crossed to at least get the interview. It would be to do Cisco routing, Switching, Firewalls, Wireless, and Telecom projects. So I would program all the equipment and prestage it, test it, then send it out to the site it needs to go to. -

Sometimes it is hard to see why crappy things happen. However, it could mean bigger and better things are in the cards.

Nailed the tech interview and the guy said he wants to get me in this week for an in person if he can but isn't sure of his boss's schedule.

Optionsjabney Member Posts: 61 ■■■□□□□□□□So what's the details of the new gig ? Did they bump you in salary as well either way just glad you landed on your feet. I'm glad you started looking sooner rather than later when everyone else from your old job would have been suturing the market.
