I just got the coveted, "Congratulations! It gives me great pleasure to be the first to address you with the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) designation!"

So for me...

5/2013 - Begin slaving like dog to study for test.
9/13/13 - Sacrifice chicken to the God of Certification Exams
9/14/13 - Passed exam
9/19/13 - Sent endorsement paperwork to (ISC)2
9/20/13 - Received confirmation of receipt of endorsement application
10/16/13 - Received confirmation from (ISC)2 on CISSP designation!

Personally, I think the chicken sacrifice is what did it. icon_smile.gif

I was curious as to recent wait times for the confirmation.

    10/11/13 - Passed exam
    10/15/13 - Sent endorsement paperwork to (ISC)2
10/15/13 - Received confirmation of receipt of endorsement application
??/??/13 - Received confirmation from (ISC)2 on CISSP designation!

I hope that I receive mine as fast or faster! Thanks for the details!!!

Congrats! Can you share your study plan? I plan to test in December, almost done reading Eric Conrad study guide and going to read 11th hour a few times and CISSP for dummies as well

    This is what I did...

Beginning about three months prior to the exam, I used the Official (ISC)2 Guide to the CISSP CBK. Read that cover to cover. After each chapter I used the included exam simulator to create a 25 question test in what I newly learned and an additional 25 questions for each of the previous chapters so they remained fresh. So by the time I finished the book I was taking 250 question practice exams.

About a week before exam day I read through, though not as thoroughly as the "Official Guide," the CISSP All-in-One Exam Guide, 6th Edition, using it to fill in any holes in my knowledge that I thought remained. I also completed several practice tests at CCCure.

At around 9 PM, the night before the exam, I officially ended my studying. Whatever I knew was all I was going to know prior to the exam and trying to review any more would, at best, have no effect, and at worst, interfere with getting a good night's rest resulting in my tanking the exam the next day.

It must have been a good plan as I passed on the first try.

I'm hoping for the same thing. My dates are as follows:
    4/20/13 - Passed Exam
10/9/13 - Sent endorsement paperwork (needed to wait a few months until I met the experience requirement).
10/10/13 - Received confirmation of receipt of endorsement application

So, it's only been a week so far for me. Will keep on waiting and let you guys know when I hear back! :)
