YAHOOOOOO!
*ahem*
After a very frustrating and underwhelming past year at my current job I am now moving on to better things. I have also now successfully transitioned from mostly network (partial security) to mostly security (partial network).
I'll be able to focus on my security side including vulnerability assessments, continue my firewall skills, dig in deep to IPS/IDS (Sourcefire here I come!), security policies and hopefully eventually dig into some IT forensics stuff.
On top of all that, my coworkers look like they actually care about best practices and learning about what's going on in the industry... imagine that?!
Just thought I'd share my news I'm super stoked about

. What's funny is that I had been looking for awhile and just as this one started to pick up, my current company announced that it was being acquired (you know what that usually means). What a freaking coincidence eh? lol
Anyways, I'm moving from Network Engineer III -> IT Security Specialist . Here's to new and exciting opportunities!
