invalid certificate

I need an assistance from any one please,
I am having invalid certificate issue problem ant time I try to communicate from my Windows XP machine to my ASA 5520 firewall. I have a CA server that I have issued a custom certificate template of the ROOT CA and identity certificate to both the ASA and XP machine for authentication purposes. But when the XP machine tries to access the ssl connection of the ASA from its web browser, I get a message saying the ROOT CA of this certificate is not trusted.
