Passed 70-680!

in Windows 7 exams
Just got done taking the test and happy to say I passed it on my first attempt. Heard it was a hard test so bought the second shot voucher just in case I needed it. Studied for three weeks using Don Poulton's book and Professor Messer videos as my resources. icon_cheers.gif

    Great Job. Did you go through all 13hrs of videos?

    btw, how does that book compare to MS training 700 page books?

    Thank you, yes I watched all of Professor Messer's videos. Not sure how it compares haven't read the MS training book. I thought Poulton's book was really good and prepared me well for the test.

    Thank you ... I was under the impression that I need to pass the 70-680 and 70-685 or 70-686 in order to receive a cert. Am I incorrect?

    As far as I know, and some here may know otherwise, you're officially an MCTS!
    70-685/6 will give you MCSA Windows 7 and I think MCITP? But do check

    680+685 confers the MCITP, It is suggested however that you upgrade to MCSE if you get the MCITP as you only need to take one upgrade exam.

    680+686 also confers the MCITP however you can upgrade it to an MCSA with one upgrade exam as well.

    Only the 680-686 can be made into MCSA Server 2012.
    Then another 2 exams to MCSE 2012.
