Passed 70-680!

Just got done taking the test and happy to say I passed it on my first attempt. Heard it was a hard test so bought the second shot voucher just in case I needed it. Studied for three weeks using Don Poulton's book and Professor Messer videos as my resources.

btw, how does that book compare to MS training 700 page books?

Thank you, yes I watched all of Professor Messer's videos. Not sure how it compares haven't read the MS training book. I thought Poulton's book was really good and prepared me well for the test.

Thank you ... I was under the impression that I need to pass the 70-680 and 70-685 or 70-686 in order to receive a cert. Am I incorrect?

As far as I know, and some here may know otherwise, you're officially an MCTS!
70-685/6 will give you MCSA Windows 7 and I think MCITP? But do check

680+685 confers the MCITP, It is suggested however that you upgrade to MCSE if you get the MCITP as you only need to take one upgrade exam.

680+686 also confers the MCITP however you can upgrade it to an MCSA with one upgrade exam as well.

Only the 680-686 can be made into MCSA Server 2012.
Then another 2 exams to MCSE 2012.
