Passed CEH v8

Hey folks:
I'm new member here, but I visit this site from a long time.
I just passed h CEH v.8 exam, and I have a couple o doubts:

First one:

I haven't receive a welcome email from EC-Council, is this normal? I mean, do I have to receive it or just wait to the paper welcome kit.


The second one is, I'm very interested to become a EC-Council Instructor, I'm MCT already and I have experience to teach technology, my doubt here is if I have to pay to become a Certified Instructor.

    It's normal... took a month to get my welcome kit. Didn't get any type of communication from EC-Council until the kit arrived.

    Took a month to receive my welcome email and the kit came a few days later. The kit came from overseas oddly enough since the HQ is in my home town.

    Congrats on your pass; what material did you use to prepare? On Amazon.com the v.8 AIOG has a release date of Feb. 2014....

    I used this the All in One by Matt Walker, also the free videos series by Shon Harris and a lot of practice with tools (Backrack, Wireshark, Metasploit, etc.)

    Yes it is normal. I find that E-ccouncil is somewhat unorganized. You will eventually receive the certificate and welcome kit...but I wouldn't wait by the mailbox.
