Thanks very much for linking this. I am studying for the 70-640 and this is a beast of a test. I need all the help I can get. I signed up for the free trial so I can test it out before purchasing. Do you have any experience with these videos?

You've also mentioned holding off on certs for a while, and Pluralsight has some career development/interviewing/communication type videos and a lot of non-cert related stuff I'd like to brush up on (scripting for one). A few of the videos have been less than great, but overall the quality has been solidly decent.

Thanks for the feedback Larry. Yeah I am looking at building my skills up more so than my certification portfolio. Not to say they can't align with each other, as a analyst there really isn't much out there for me to "cert" that would add value to my career path. (That's not to say they are bad they aren't)

Anyone have any experience with the tests that they offer? I would be more than willing to give up another $20 if the tests were a good representation on what I might get on the actual exam.

so any word on if or when they will have the Transcender exams as an option again?

If you want download material (usually source code), EXAMS, or view videos through the offline viewer, the cost becomes $49/mo.

I called Pluralsight about the missing assessment tests for the area I was working on. They said it would be a couple of months before they were all back in place. In the meantime, I let them know that I was planning on taking an exam in a few days and was counting on the practice test (my subscription covered them) and he hooked me up with a voucher for Transcender directly. I had to go to the Transcender site and create an account and all but I got the full test program so it was well worth it. I am giving Pluralsight high marks for their customer service.

I'm glad PluralSight has purchased these other companies and have added them into the fold. I have had a free membership as part of MSDN for the last 3 years and it was 95% programming, so I am happy to see them branching out.

just got a reply from Pluralsight. They no longer have an agreement with Transcender which is a real shame

But for $50 bucks you cant beat it over other training providers.
