in CCNA & CCENT
With the IP address 10.1.13.0 and a wildcard mask 0.0.255.255, should it match interface IP address with 10.1 or 10.1.13?

elderkai Member Posts: 279In a wildcard mask, 0 is specific and 1 isn't. In that example, the first two octets are specific, and last two can be anything. With that, what do you think.

You're correct. The wording is bad. It will still match 10.1.13.x, but it will also match other addresses also (10.1.x.x). Most likely a typo. They were probably shooting for 10.1.13.0 0.0.0.255 since 0.0.255.255 had already been used in another example.R&S: CCENT → CCNA → CCNP → CCIE [ ]
