Hey fellas i'm 20 yrs old soon to be 21 haha.

Anyways, I am going to school and just for some reason lost my strive on going for 2 more years. I am a person that loves challenge, but i want something quick.

Academic background, I was in the top 10 when i graduated back in HS. 98.9% attendance all throughout my 4 years there. Even until now. Took all of the computer courses that they offered. I even was in-charge of making brochures for my school (hs and college). For some reason I just really lost it.

Anyways I wanted to go for Database. I want to be a database administrator.

What is the best route for me? Certification wise.

Oracle or Microsoft?

Can you also please give me a layout of all the database certifications?

Thank You

"I want to be a database administrator" aka DBA

Ok, so go look up what that is and what certifications are popular for DBA's to obtain.
    Modularity and Design Simplicity:

Think of the 2:00 a.m. test—if you were awakened in the
middle of the night because of a network problem and had to figure out the
traffic flows in your network while you were half asleep, could you do it?

I'm not sure if I misread your post. Did you quit school halfway through? If so, I highly suggest that you reconsider this. A lot of DBA jobs that I see require a BS-CS or related. I'm new to the IT field, so someone else will give you better feedback. That being said, there doesn't seem to be an abundance of entry-level database jobs. My guess would be that many people start off at lower positions, or get an internship through school.

    Hope this helps a bit.

I overlooked this until reading your post and then going back and re-reading OP again. I agree with Steve. Stay in school man. Its not easy to get started in the IT world. The BS will help...even if it isn't in CS or IS.

Don't quit school. Definitely reconsider this.

A nice way is going on Monster, Dice, Indeed etc. and looking at the job you want to have. Do a search for database administrator. Looking at the requirements can help you and the certs are also listed there.
