So Frustrated...

So I took the 200-101 ICND2 Exam today (for the second time). I missed passing by 1 question! (815) I've used pearson/ ciscopress and boson testing software. Any advice on what to do from here?

Well, what areas are you getting the lowest score on?

I have not taken my test yet but I would say if you are coming so close that you are almost there. Use any feedback you were given and try it again.

Good luck. Don't let it get you down.

Don't quit now. Continue studying. I have failed exams before as well. Took ITIL foundations and failed by 1 question went back a week later and scored nearly perfect. Google/YouTube is your friend. A lot of good people online willing to share there knowledge for free.

The best thing you could probably do is reschedule the test for about a week away…Cisco says I believe 5 calendar days starting the day after. Review what you didn't do as well on and lightly review the rest. You are right there and you have a better chance of passing now, especially since maybe you will get a few different/easier questions or more questions on what you know well.

Don't give up Techigirl21, I was in the same exact position as you last month. I got 775 / 815 / 920 for my ICND2 exam. I used the same as you, in addition to Lammle's book; and Boson's I used for the first time at 10pm on the night before because I wanted to do more practice exercises.

Just try to cover what little details may be left. For me it was the very small, basic stuff. Keep at it.

In the words of Offensive Security: Try Harder.

That's certainly not meant to knock you - In the previous testing format I failed ICND2 twice before passing. As someone who faced a similar situation, I would devote every waking minute of the next couple weeks to ensuring my weakest areas become my strongest. It will be worth it! Good luck.

Any specific protocols or technologies that you feel you may be weak on in these sections?

This. But don't completely neglect your strong areas or they'll soon become your new weak areas.

I ***KNOW*** how frustrating CCNA is.

It sounds like you are very close. Don't give up and continue to keep trying.

Seems like you might just need more labbing if you're getting the lowest scores on Routing and Switching. You might understand the concepts very well, but you need to be able to actually do the tecnical aspect of the exam too.

Failing by just 1 point is very close. Review your notes, do some more labbing, and you'll knock it out the park next time.

Don't give up. I failed the old ICND1 test this past August and retook the following week and passed. Study those weak areas! I deep down knew what I was weak on but didn't want to admit it. I thought oh.. I'll get through it and the test punished me! Second time (1 week later) around I went in full of confidence and passed.

I took the old ICND2 and failed on the last day it was offered. I'm studying the new ICND2 material which is slow going since I've got to cover some new material but I'm not giving up. You can do this! Own it! cover your weak areas until your brain can't take it anymore.. you will pass!
