Possible craigslist scam?
pamccabe
Just curious because I've had nothing but rotten luck on craigslist. I'm selling a cisco router and someone from out of state is interested in it for his company. He is paying the shipping. He's asked that I email him my name, address, phone number, email address, and paypal account email address to pay with.
is there anything odd about this? Maybe I'm being paranoid, but thought I'd ask.

Sounds fishy to me.

If you are uncomfortable with the deal, pull it.
Get a PO box next time to be safe for mailing items/receiving items. Your address will be in the package either way, so the purchaser will see it unless you have a PO box.
Next time run the add for local pickup only.
Or find a computer store that handles used equipment, take a little hit on the price and sell it to them or sell it on consignment.

I've seen paypal scams like this before.
They'll pay you for goods, send the shipping company/ask you to ship it, Once they receive it. They will open up a case to dispute it's been received/not matched..

While it certainly could be a scam, I've done similar things legitimately before. I personally wouldn't accept anything less than a cashier's check or cash in a case like this.

Ask him if he'll do a Skype video chat with you and see what he says. Scammers usually don't like to do that.
